Alvic, associate member of the Portuguese Software Association

We are pleased to announce that Alvic is an associate member of the Portuguese Software Association (ASSOFT). In this way, we will actively support the growth, promotion and defense of the sector in Portuguese territory. The association - made up of national and international companies in the area of ​​software, hardware and communications - has been working since 1991 to promote and defend the interests of people and entities that produce and market software.

ASSOFT's focus of activity is intellectual property and innovation, as well as opening and access to the global market. The objectives of the entity, in addition to promotion and defense, are related to: disclosure of legality, quality and integrity of software, hardware and communication systems in Portugal and collective management of copyright.

ASSOFT, at an international level, also collaborates directly with the Business Software Alliance (BSA) and the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), associations that defend the interests of the software industry throughout the world; with the European Commission; with the International Computer Security Association (ICSA Labs), to better understand the state of the art in information and data security and control, in addition to actively cooperating with several similar associations in other countries.
