The edition of the PEI Journal corresponding to the fourth quarter of 2022 includes an interview with Jaume Arcarons, CEO of Alvic Group, and Victor Garduño, General Director of Alvic for Latin America and the Caribbean. The conversation is focused on how Alvic's global experience contributes to the group's growth in Latin America: “The main challenge is to adapt our hardware and software to a new country, maintaining the same level of service. The world geography is as diverse as the brands of dispensers, the communication protocols, the forms of work and the fiscal management of the countries. A system installed in Morocco has no relationship with one installed in any Latin American country. However, Alvic customers enjoy the same standard of service throughout the world”, they explain.
In addition to the challenges that have established the company as one of the leaders in technology for the energy sector, the interview also deals with the current and future situation: "The main change that our markets have had at a global level has been the fiscal management of hydrocarbons. Not only with the arrival of new taxes or emerging decrees, but also with the technological evolution in service stations, in which Alvic are pioneers”, they affirm. Regarding the Latin American market, Jaume Arcarons and Victor Garduño consider that "it has a very long journey in our sector and we have high expectations in this area".
Alvic has been a member of the PEI (Petroleum Equipment Institute) since 2006 and participated in a presentation during the PEI 2019 convention, in addition to being part of the PEI Latin American Committee before the pandemic: “It was a pleasant experience, since we were able to contribute knowledge and in work for the good of the association and its members”, they conclude.
